AGM 2011

Our Fair Trade AGM 2011 will be held on 10 November at the Fountains Hotel, Cape Town again this year. The AGM and network event is for all stakeholders of fair trade to meet, discuss the strategic direction of the fair trade network in South Africa, and network throughout the day and evening. The Chairman, Executive Director and Treasurer will report on the activities and achievements of the past year, and future plans of Fair Trade Network.

The draft strategic plan of Fair Trade Network, which is being developed, will be presented to the audience for discussion and consultation. Delegates will be asked to approve the plan, so implementation can start. In addition, there will be some interesting presentations by fair trade role-players.

The day will end with a network cocktail with Fairtrade labelled wine and some finger food. The agenda of the day will be distributed on a later date.

Sponsorship for beneficiaries
Fair Trade Network has allocated funding to cover the cost of accommodation and meals for up to 40 fair trade beneficiaries (maximum 2 per fair trade organisation/producer). This funding is not for management. Sponsorship is open to all fair trade beneficiaries including FLO certified producers, COFTA/WFTO members and Fair Trade Tourism SA members.
