2011 Elections
According to the arrangement made at the 2010 AGM, the stakeholders were to elect a new Board again this year, replacing the Board elected last year. At the FTN Board meeting on 25 August the Board asked me to propose to all stakeholders to retain the current Board for another year. FTN is in the middle of a strategic planning process and for continuity it would be beneficial to not change the Board members at this stage. Furthermore, the old Trust Deed and new constitution stipulate that Board members are elected for 2 years. I hope you can agree with this proposal.

Necessary Elections
The NGO/Support Network stakeholder group need however to hold an election since one of their Board members, Lucy Welford, resigned from the Board. The election will take place during the break. Interested persons can fill out the candidacy form before the election on the day. Please e-mail to conference@fairtrade.org.za if completed in advance.
